On August 25, at the Palace of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in honor of the 34th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, presented high state awards, prizes and honorary titles to employees of various professions who have achieved commendable results in their activities.
First, the President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, sincerely congratulated those present on the 34th anniversary of the sacred national holiday - the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and on the occasion of their awarding with state awards.
The Head of State emphasized that “our state independence and national freedom are the most sacred blessings and the most precious wealth of life for every member of our society, and reaching this happy day, that is, achieving independence and freedom, was a fateful turning point in the history of our nation.”
During his speech, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, especially stressed the loyal service of specialists of various professions, including scientists and teachers, doctors, poets and writers, people of culture and art, diplomatic personnel, workers, builders and farmers, who have made a valuable contribution to the development of our beloved country.
It was said that the state leadership appreciates every constructive initiative and loyal work of citizens and does not hesitate to reward worthy achievements and services.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, highlighted that the contribution of patriotic entrepreneurs, investors and generous individuals is also very valuable in the progress and prosperity of our country.
President Emomali Rahmon took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the entrepreneurs who received state awards and to all generous individuals of the country, wishing them success and happiness.
After the speech of the Head of State, a ceremony was held to present state awards.
At the ceremony, nearly 200 people received state awards of the Republic of Tajikistan from the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, for their high labor achievements, effective work in the public service, development of science and culture, and other sectors of the national economy.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan “On awarding employees of the spheres of science and culture, healthcare, production of goods and services, local government bodies, other civil servants and entrepreneurs with state awards of the Republic of Tajikistan”, a number of employees were awarded state awards of the Republic of Tajikistan for their significant contribution to the development of science and culture of the country, protection of public health, effective work in the public service, and high achievements in production and entrepreneurship in accordance with Article 69 of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the ceremony of awarding state awards, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized the contribution of people of science, literature, and culture of the country, including theater and cinema artists.
As a result of these recognitions, today, 4 artists, including Turakhon Ahmadkhonov and Gulomzoda Isfandiyor, were awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of Tajikistan, and the well-known journalist Latofat Kenjaeva was awarded the honorary title of People's Poet of Tajikistan.
At the award ceremony, 23 people were awarded the honorary title of Honored Worker of Tajikistan, 1 person was awarded the honorary title of People's Writer of Tajikistan, 2 persons were awarded the honorary title of Artist of Tajikistan, 5 people were awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of Tajikistan, 3 people were awarded the Order of Friendship, 1 person was awarded the Order of Honor, I degree, 11 people were awarded the Order of Honor, II degree, 107 people were awarded the Medal of Merit, and 7 people were awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It should be noted that since the first days of gaining state independence, the Government of the country has made social protection of the population, science and education, healthcare and culture among the priority areas of its policy, and has been implementing all necessary measures to improve working conditions and living standards of employees in the above-mentioned sectors to this day.
The establishment of the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan for scientists and teachers of natural, exact and mathematical sciences and the adoption of a new edition of the Regulations on the Ismoili Somoni Prize for young scientists who do outstanding work in the field of science and technology are among the next initiatives of the Government of the country. This was done at the ceremony of presenting state prizes, including 12 people who were awarded the Ismoili Somoni Prize in 2025.
In order to improve the quality of scientific research in all academic scientific institutes and centers, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, established a special state prize to encourage scientists and teachers of natural, exact and mathematical sciences, and every year 15 of the best teachers and scientists are awarded this prize.
That is why, at today's award ceremony, 15 people received the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan for scientists and teachers of natural, exact and mathematical sciences in 2025.
The purpose of awarding the aforementioned prizes is to implement state policy in the field of science, education and innovation by encouraging scientists and teachers of natural, exact and mathematical sciences, and is aimed at the development of these disciplines, the effective creative activity of scientists and teachers, raising their status in society, improving the methods of teaching and learning natural, exact and mathematical sciences by students and pupils.
At the end of the award ceremony, the Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, once again sincerely congratulated all those who were honored by the Head of State with high awards, and expressed confidence that the loyal sons of the Motherland will continue to direct their intellectual strength and abilities, knowledge and experience, skills and talent, and efforts to further develop independent Tajikistan, strengthen peace and tranquility, political stability, national unity, and improve the well-being of the country's residents.
