Consideration of issues in the International Monetary Fund
On April 16 of the current year, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Tolibzoda F., Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Qahhorzoda F. and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan at the IMF and the World Bank Group Amirzoda P. held a working meeting with the IMF Statistics Department staff. The meeting was took place on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group Spring Meetings.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the banking system issues related to the collection and analysis of data, especially foreign statistics, including the balance of payments, international investment position and external debt, banking statistics, modeling and forecasting, strengthening modeling and forecasting capacity in the field of monetary policy, improving monetary statistics, as well as the issues of transition to the GFS2014 system, improvement of budget processes and national accounts.
At the end of the meeting, the Tajik side expressed its satisfaction with IMF beneficial cooperation and expressed hope that the International Monetary Fund will promote attracting technical assistance to achieve the goals stated at the meeting.
