On April 7-8 of the current year the average exchange rate of US dollar buying and selling increased by some points and at average it made 3,8600-3,8800 somoni across Dushanbe. Thus the average exchange rate of buying and selling of Russian ruble and Euro have changed slightly and made 0,1135-0,1145 and 5,0500-5,1200 somoni respectively.
The micro crediting is a main direction of banking system activity of the country to support a small and medium entrepreneurship that promotes poverty reduction.
The inflation rate for the first quarter of the current year made 1,2%, which decreased to 1.4% against the same period of past year. The present indicator of inflation for this period formed out for account of changes in prices of foodstuff to 0,6%, non-foodstuff to 0.4% and paid services to 5,6%.<p>
The credit investments to the economy of the country for the first quarter of 2009 stably increased. According to the recent data the total balance of credits as for March 31, 2009 made 5 014,3 million somoni that is 3,2% more against the beginning of the year . The positive trend of crediting for the first quarter of 2009 was achieved for account of increase of share of credits in national currency.
Within last days the average exchange of purchase and sale of the US dollar in the cash market was unchanged, stable and fixed at level of 3,81 - 3,83.

On 20 February, the average rate of purchase and sale US dollar has slightly changed against last day and was fixed at level 3,79 - 3,80 somoni.
