Inspections have revealed lacks

As the result of inspections of joint Working team of the National Bank of Tajikistan and Agency on State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of the RT made in field of control and regulation of the exchange market held in Dushanbe city on December 3-4, current year, in 12 exchange bureaus it was revealed serious lacks.

It was revealed that employees of some exchange bureaus on order of head offices of credit institutions have stopped their activity. Though it was reduced shortage and surplus of money resources in the exchange offices these days, nevertheless it was identified such lacks as absence of registration journal of currency purchase and sale, self-willed setting exchange rate, absence of registration book of bank’s head office inspections, discrepancy of exchange rate on currency purchase-sale and order of bank’s head office in the activity of some exchange bureaus of the OJSC "Orienbank", OJSC "Tojiksodirotbonk", CJSC "Tojprombonk", OJSC "Agroinvestbank", OJSC "Sohibkorbank" and МДО «Vaslat».

Also it has been revealed that the employee of OJSC "Tojiksodirotbank" located near to "Varzob" market Abdulloev F. in order to gain benefit through gamble of exchange rate has refused to sell currency at the set exchange rate although he has available currency.

In connection with the revealed lacks the National Bank of Tajikistan has effected enforcement and corrective actions in relation to OJSC "Orienbank", OJSC "Tojiksodirotbonk", CJSC "Tojprombonk", OJSC "Agroinvestbank", OJSC "Sohibkorbank" and МДО «Vaslat». It was recommended to given credit organisations to dismiss those employees of exchange offices, which have admitted serious lacks.
