Increasing of public’s financial literacy

With a view of increasing of public’s financial literacy the National Bank of Tajikistan in association with the German Savings Banks Foundation for the International Cooperation and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan organised an educational seminar on “Increasing of public’s financial literacy”, on March 29, 2017 in high school of №53, Dushanbe.

As it has been noted, the main goal of the given event, first of all, includes increase of level of financial literacy and attraction of pupils’ interest to learning of financial knowledge.

During a seminar sessions on such topics, like role of monetary banknotes in society, effective and rational use of money, financial planning and family budget, inflation and its impact on family budget, ways of accumulation of savings and risk management have been conducted for participants of seminar. At that time by training and various economic games right ways of financial services use in a daily life have been demonstrated to participants.

Along with pupils of secondary schools, teachers of “Elementary Economics” of secondary schools of Dushanbe, also have taken part in seminar, having familiarized with a methods of conducting of lessons of the given subject and ways of its improvement. It has been especially noted importance and necessity of learning of financial skills and knowledge by each citizen.

It is necessary to note, that participants of the seminar which basic contingent was made by pupils of secondary schools, have taken active participation in discussions.
