Exchange of experience among specialists of central banks of the EAEC member states

The international seminar "Forming of microfinance market infrastructure and credit cooperation "was held at the training center of the National Bank of Tajikistan (Guliston town) as part of professional training program for Central (National) Banks of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) member states from October 17 to October 19, 2017.

At the opening ceremony of the event, the Deputy Chairman of the NBT Sirojiddin Ikromi has noted that in the current economic conditions the issues of forming infrastructure for microfinance market and credit cooperation are relevant both in the global banking system in general and in the banking system of a particular state, in particular. In this regard, it was stressed that this seminar is an important practical step for mobilizing intellectual potential of banking sector.

Participants of the seminar have discussed the issues related to financial standards of microfinance organizations, microfinance market, requirements for regulation of microfinance institutions and credit cooperation and development of guarantee system in the credit cooperation market.

The Deputy Chairman of the NBT Sirojiddin Ikromi also has attracted the participants' attention to discussing issues related to risk management in credit institutions, in particular credit risk, operational risk, currency risk and use of traditional financial instruments for risk insurance such as forward, futures, swap, option and placing foreign exchange risk on customers from the experience of participating banks.

It should be noted that various training events are regularly held in the framework of Professional Training Program for specialists of central (national) banks of the EAEC member states (Russia, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Tajikistan).
