Meeting of Sirojiddin Ikromi with Yahya Aleem ur Rehman

On July 31, 2018, the meeting of Sirojiddin Ikromi, NBT Deputy Chairman with Mr. Yahya Aleem ur Rehman, IsDB Division Manager, Advisory Services who was on the official visit in the Republic of Tajikistan from July 30 till August 1. The meeting passed in the frame of realization of the technical assistance project “Development of Islamic financing sector in regulation and supervision sphere in Tajikistan” supported by the Islamic Development Bank.

During the meeting Parties have discussed the issues, relating to cooperation of the international consulting company concerning results “ISRA Consultancy Sdn” and the NBT Working Group on preparation of projects of regulatory legal acts for Islamic banking, during the second stage of interworking.

Sirojiddin Ikromi, NBT Deputy Chairman during the meeting has expressed satisfaction on results of completed work of the international consulting company “ISRA Consultancy Sdn” jointly with the NBT Working Group, and has declared willingness of banking system of the country for closer and beneficial cooperation on preparation of projects of regulatory legal acts for Islamic banking, and also retraining of bank employees after completion of the given project.

In turn Mr. Yahya Aleem ur Rehman, IsDB Division Manager, Advisory Services has highly appreciated cooperation level of NBT Working Group with the international consulting company “ISRA Consultancy Sdn”, and considered NBT’s proposal applicable on cooperation extension.

During the meeting, the Parties also have discussed perspectives of further realization of the project “Development of Islamic financing sector in regulation and supervision sphere in Tajikistan”, looking for new methods for the fortification of relations and other issues of cooperation of the National Bank of Tajikistan with Islamic Development Bank.
