Meeting of Jamoliddin Nuraliev with Mr. Joachim Schwimmer

Working meeting of Jamoliddin Nuraliev, First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan with Mr. Joachim Schwimmer, Senior Adviser of Deutsche Bundesbank was held on August 16, 2018.

During the meeting Jamoliddin Nuraliev has expressed satisfaction with cooperation level of international financial organizations, and noted that owing to cooperation with them some concrete programs on rendering of technical aid were adopted that are implemented gradually.

The First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Nuraliev has pointed out that the National Bank of Tajikistan for the purpose of improvement of work effectiveness, improvement of bank management and internal structure quality, and also performance of normative standards for risk minimization undertakes reasonable efforts on supervision and operations management. Also, a number of projects on the given issue together with the international financial organisations, including, WB and IMF is carried out, and at the given stage realisation of “Three Lines of Defense Model” is proceeding at this time.

Mr. Joachim Schwimmer, Senior Adviser of Deutsche Bundesbank has thanked for warm reception, and underlined that his visit to NBT is going within cooperation framework of Bundesbank with European bank of reconstruction and development for realization of a project “Three Lines of Defense Model”, and during definite time he will work with NBT experts in the given direction. Deutsche Bundesbank Senior Adviser has stated that the given model promotes for improvement of concept of risk management and process of their control by role definition and responsibility structures of NBT in decision.

It should be noted that project of “Three Lines of Defense Model” is a part of NBT efforts for coordination of macroeconomic, monetary policy, control, risk management and internal audit with best world standards as new approach in banking system, directed to operating and control activity of the National Bank of Tajikistan.
