Development of cooperation of the National Bank of Tajikistan with IFC

Jamoliddin Nuraliev, NBT First Deputy Chairman had a working meeting with Ms. Cassandra Colbert, Head of the International Financial Corporation (IFC) Regional Representative Office to the Central Asia, who visited Dushanbe with the aim of participation in the International Entrepreneurs Forum Dushanbe – 2018 on Entrepreneurship and investment development and modern economic processes on October 16, 2018.

During the meeting Jamoliddin Nuraliev, NBT First Deputy Chairman and Ms. Cassandra Colbert have discussed the present situation of the country’s financial sector, development perspectives of sector for mid-term and long-term period, opportunities of realization of mutual cooperation in financial sector through increment of investment to the financial institutions of the country.

At the same time Mr. Jamoliddin Nuraliev, NBT First Deputy Chairman has attracted Ms. Cassandra Colbert’s attention on two important directions, including investment of banking system and opening of transferable accounts for banks of Tajikistan abroad, and called the IFC representative to make contribution to improvement of public’s financial literacy and development of insurance sector.

In turn Ms. Cassandra Colbert has noted that she will take care of extension of qualitatively new cooperation and deepening of IFC cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan in various spheres, including in the banking system.

It is worth to note that Ms. Manizha Mahmadnabieva, IFC Permanent Representative in Tajikistan and heads of structural subdivisions of the National bank of Tajikistan have attended the given meeting.
