Meetings between the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan and international companies
From April 16-20, 2024, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad met with representatives from several foreign companies on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank Group Spring Meetings.
On April 16, in particular, the Chairman of Tajikistan's National Bank met with members of the Corporate Advisory Company "Alvarez & Marsal Middle East". At this meeting, the parties exchanged views concerning rendering consultancy services in the banking system on exchange rate reform, monetary and credit policy, and the development of the banking and financial sectors.
On April 17, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan met with representatives from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The meeting focused on mutual relations and potential to strengthen the parties' areas of collaboration.
On April 19, the Chairman of Tajikistan's National Bank met with representatives from the Credit Rating Agency "Moody's Investors Service". During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues concerning market operations, interactions with commercial structures, the stability of the country's economy in the face of foreign pressures, and the Republic of Tajikistan's liquidity.
On the same day, Talibzoda F. N. met with executives from the "De La Rue" company. At the meeting, this British company's products and services for printing and publishing securities (banknotes, passports, and papers with high security aspects) were discussed.
In the afternoon, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan participated in the round table and dialogues of the Access to Financial Institution (AFI) related to Public-Private Dialogue (PPD), promotion of digital financial services (DFS) and comprehensive digital infrastructure.
At these meetings, the participants expressed views and shared experience on the topics "Inclusive green financing: from planning to implementation", "Innovation in digital infrastructure", "Private sector cooperation with public authorities and financial regulators related to the security and scale of digital infrastructure services", "Key success factors and perspectives to ensure stability and long-term supply of IDI resources", as well as "IDI management, especially from the point of view of public-private partnership, for the protection of public interests" .
