On 13 February of this year in the exchange offices of Dushanbe the average US dollar exchange rate has decreased to 3,72 - 3,74 somoni.
On 11 February, the situation in the currency market was unchanged. The average rate of purchase-sale of the US dollar in the cash segment fluctuated at level 3, 73 - 3,77 somoni.
Within all day long on 10 February, the rate of purchase-sale of the US dollar offered by the exchange offices in Dushanbe practically was unchanged and remained on the average at level 3,74 - 3,77 somoni.
On 9 February 2009, there have been carried out the dealings in the interbank money market at the average volumes level of purchase and sale of the foreign currency.
In the morning of 10 February of this year, the average exchange rate remains at yesterday's level in Dushanbe and made 3,75 - 3,77 somoni for USD 1.
On Monday of 9 February the exchange offices offered rates on purchase and sale of currency at the average 3, 74-3, 78 somoni for USD 1.
In accordance with the Decree of the National Bank of Tajikistan dated 28 January, 2008 in order to increase an efficiency of the monetary policy promoting development of economy and to maintain a liquidity of the credit organizations of the Republic Tajikistan, the refinancing rate of the National Bank of Tajikistan is reduced from 13,5 % to 12,0 % per annum.
According to the data of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan the rate of inflation in the Republic of Tajikistan for 8 months of current year has made 11,9 %. In the inflation structure the basic share falls on rise in prices for food articles - 13,9 % and services - 19,5 % and the rise in prices for non-foodstuffs for this period reached 3,8 %.
