Regular International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission with the Head of Mission in Tajikistan Mr. Carlos Pinerua has arrived to the Republic of Tajikistan on the 10th of May. The main target of IMF Mission is providing information about the results of the IMF Executive Council Discussion of the Article IV, which was held on 28th of March 2007 in Washington for the political leadership of the country.
On April 25, 2007 the next press-conference on overall results of current year first quarter took place in the National Bank of Tajikistan where bank management and management of its structural subdivisions have participated.
On April 6, 2007 meeting of the Bank’s leadership with the head Chairman of the NBT Alimardonov M.M. with a correspondent of the popular Japanese newspaper’ The Asahi Shimbun’ Y.Teddy Takeuchi took place at the National Bank of Tajikistan.
On March 28, 2007, a Loan Agreement was signed today in the National Bank of Tajikistan between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. The Loan Agreement was signed by H.E. Najmiddinov, Minister of Finance on behalf of the Republic of Tajikistan, whereas, Mr. Hamad S.Al-Omar, Deputy Director –General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development signed the Loan Agreement on behalf of the Fund.
Since March 27, 2007 through March 31, 2007 in the National Bank of Tajikistan was held the specialized course on theme: “Tax aspects of banking activities taking into account the modification of Tax Codex of the Republic of Tajikistan” for banking employees in the National Bank of Tajikistan.
Chairman of the National Bank Alimardonov M.M. has met with the delegation of Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) with the Head of Chairman of the Board Finigenov I.V.
Chairman of the NBT Alimardonov M.M. has received the delegation of China Exim bank under the leadership of Mr.Li Tzun.
Medium-term strategy of development of the banking system of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2009 are worked out in according to the National Strategy of Development of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2015 and it defines the major trends of the banking system development in the country for the medium term, with the purpose of provision a stable economic development, poverty reduction and welfare improvement.
